Here is my comment and his reply.

You ask, “Why do Democrats and Libertarians fail to appreciate the huge positive influence Christianity has had on America.”
Because there is also a huge negative influence Christianity has had on America.<
And, apparently, most people see that on balance, we don’t need more Christianity, we need more understanding and compromise.
So, if your idea of Christianity is to try and “force” behavior on a free people, your ideas are Anti-American.

Government tries to tell people what to do all the time. It doesn’t work for Governments, even when they claim God is on their side.
